Upper Saxondale Conservation Area
**NEW** CONSULTATION NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2024
Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is consulting with village residents about the Conversation Area Plan currently in place for our village. It was last published in 2010 so it’s time to be reviewed. The consultation period runs from Friday 15th November through to Monday 9th December. This is your opportunity to comment on the proposals.
You can read the draft plan on RBC’s website FROM Friday 15th November throughout the consultation period - https://www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/planning-growth/conservation/conservation-areas/about-conservation-areas/
Paper copies will also be available to view at Rushcliffe Arena and Bingham Library.
RBC is holding a consultation drop-in event in the Upper Saxondale Village Hall on Monday 25th November from 3:30pm until 7:30pm where council staff will be available to answer any questions you might have.
ORIGINAL CONSULTATION 2010
Upper Saxondale was designated as a Conservation Area in October 1993. This covers the majority of our village from Henson Lane across to Queen Mary’s Close and everything in-between. Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Boundary Plan details which areas are included.
Following a period of consultation with the local community, the Upper Saxondale Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan was published in November 2010 by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
You can find out more about what being in a Conservation Area means for our village on Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Conservation Areas website.
Part of Upper Saxondale was previously in the Parish of Radcliffe On Trent. In October 2017, Radcliffe On Trent Parish Council published the Radcliffe on Trent Neighbourhood Plan 2014 to 2028 which included our village.
